About the Role

We are excited to share this opportunity to join Google’s Google Compute Engine (GCE) team as a Virtual Machines Product Manager. In this role, you will drive innovation in virtual machine (VM) technology, ensuring product development aligns with user needs and business objectives. You’ll work cross-functionally with engineers, designers, marketers, and other experts to guide products from concept to launch. This role requires balancing complex technical challenges with strategic business goals, helping shape Google’s Cloud infrastructure across over 200 countries and territories.

Responsibilities

• Strategize and Innovate: Develop VM product strategies focusing on new technologies, roadmap planning, and customer adoption.
• Drive Growth: Support business growth and expand the VM ecosystem through data-driven engineering priorities.
• Cross-functional Leadership: Lead initiatives across software and hardware teams to align product goals with industry trends and competitive insights.
• Go-to-Market Planning: Formulate and execute go-to-market strategies for VM products, ensuring smooth and impactful launches.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate closely with key stakeholders to communicate strategies and drive success in Google Cloud’s Compute Infrastructure.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• 8+ years in product management or related technical roles.
• Proven experience in launching or developing infrastructure products in networking, storage, compute hardware, databases, and similar technologies.
• Familiarity with Compute Engine, Data Center Technology, Virtual Machines, or Servers.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s degree in technology or business.
• Knowledge of compute architecture, data center infrastructure, and cloud infrastructure.
• Strong understanding of workload requirements and their impact on infrastructure.

Compensation & Benefits

• Base Salary Range: $168,000 - $252,000 (specific details provided during the hiring process).
• Additional Benefits: Bonus, equity, and a comprehensive benefits package.
